Currently, abstracts of the papers printed in Radiological Physics and Technology (RPT) are open to the public free of charge. If you wish to see full articles, you can access them through libraries or research institutions which are under contract with Springer Inc., or use tokens distributed to our members, or purchase the PDF file by Pay Per View.

In addition to the above mentioned publishing method, RPT is offering an open access publishing method called “Springer Open Choice”. If you choose this publishing method, your papers become open access and the full articles can be viewed by anyone.

If you wish to order Springer Open Choice, please access the URL in the email sent to you after the paper has been accepted. The applicable fee is €2,200. When you publish your papers using the regular publishing method, copyright of the paper belongs to the Japanese Society of Radiological Technology (JSRT) and the Japan Society of Medical Physics (JSMP), so copyright transfer becomes necessary. However, when you select Springer Open Choice, the publication is carried out conformable to Creative Commons License, and the copyright belongs to the author. Therefore, you don’t need to transfer the copyright. Also, please note that the open access papers based on the regulations of Creative Commons License can be legally reproduced and/or used commercially without the copyright holder’s consent as long as they are cited as sources properly.
