Radiological Physics and Technology
Asia-Oceania Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics(AFOMP)のOfficial Journalであり,2026年からはKorean Society of Radiological Science(KSRS)のOfficial Journalにもなっています.

the manuscript submitted to Radiological Physics and Technology
Junji Shiraishi, Ph.D., Editor-in-Chief
Radiological Physics and Technology (RPT) is the official English-language journal jointly published by the Japanese Society of Radiological Technology (JSRT) and the Japan Society of Medical Physics (JSMP). RPT is also an official journal of the Asia-Oceania Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics (AFOMP) and, since 2026, of the Korean Society of Radiological Science (KSRS), and is supported by the International Organization for Medical Physics (IOMP).
Peer review plays an essential role in maintaining and advancing the scientific quality of RPT. We sincerely appreciate the time, expertise, and professional judgment that our reviewers contribute to the Journal. Reviewers are asked to evaluate manuscripts fairly, objectively, and independently, without presuming either acceptance or rejection. The assessment should focus on the scientific and technical validity of the work, originality and significance of the findings, appropriateness of the methodology and analysis, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the scope of RPT.
RPT also values its role in supporting the development of young and emerging researchers. This mission should be pursued through constructive peer review while maintaining rigorous and internationally accepted scientific standards. When weaknesses or problems are identified, reviewers are encouraged, whenever possible, to explain them clearly and provide specific and constructive suggestions that may help the authors improve their work. At the same time, reviewers should not feel obliged to recommend revision when a manuscript has fundamental problems that cannot reasonably be resolved through revision. A recommendation for rejection, when supported by clear scientific or technical reasons, is an important part of responsible peer review.
Reviewer comments should be professional, respectful, specific, and focused on the manuscript rather than the authors. Reviewers are also requested to complete their reviews within the designated time whenever possible, as timely peer review is essential for both authors and the editorial process. Through rigorous, fair, constructive, and timely peer review, we hope to further enhance the scientific quality and international standing of RPT while continuing to support the advancement of researchers in radiological technology, medical physics, and related fields. Thank you very much for your valuable contribution to Radiological Physics and Technology.
